The story

This Magnolia House project was the transformation of a living room, kitchen, outdoor deck, powder room, and dining room. The living room of this house posed an interesting design challenge: the clients wanted to enjoy their sweeping water views while keeping the fireplace and adjacent TV within easy sight. They also frequently entertain, so seating had to accommodate many guests. My design solution was to provide a circular sectional that worked for the TV, the fireplace, the water view, or large friend groups, and two swivel chairs for additional flexibility.  These clients love statement pieces, art, texture, and color so I completed the rooms with art from local Seattle artists Richard Graham and PC Ngo. The all-new outdoor space connected with the colors and textures on the inside.

A whole-home transformation in Seattle's Magnolia neighborhood — living room, kitchen, deck, and dining room with sweeping water views and local art.
